To resolve these shortcomings, this paper proposed a novel Energy Storage System Based on Hybrid Wind and Photovoltaic Technologies techniques developed for sustainable hybrid wind and photovoltaic storage systems. The major contributions of the proposed approach are given as follows.
Electrochemical, mechanical, electrical, and hybrid systems are commonly used as energy storage systems for renewable energy sources [3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16]. In, an overview of ESS technologies is provided with respect to their suitability for wind power plants.
Based on the study, it is concluded that different energy storage technologies can be used for photovoltaic and wind power applications.
As of recently, there is not much research done on how to configure energy storage capacity and control wind power and energy storage to help with frequency regulation. Energy storage, like wind turbines, has the potential to regulate system frequency via extra differential droop control.
Overall, the deployment of energy storage systems represents a promising solution to enhance wind power integration in modern power systems and drive the transition towards a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape. 4.
