By investing in solar panels, hospitals can generate their own electricity, significantly reducing their costs. These savings on energy bills can be redirected towards improving patient care in other areas.
UOSSM's 'Syria Solar' initiative has successfully launched a second solar power system in north western Syria on July 22, 2019, with the support of the Idlib Health Directorate. The facility is one of the key hospitals in northern Syria and specializes in orthopaedics.
H2B2 and PowiDian are collaborating to provide the future Rijnstate hospital in Elst, the Netherlands, with a Power-to-Power (P2P) system that integrates solar PV and hydrogen, enabling the hospital to cover up to 60% of its energy needs and saving 600,000 m³ of natural.
For this reason, this study conducts a review of the literature, including current approaches, challenges, and opportunities for the implementation of solar energy in health centers.
